Students

Students are a big part of our church family at St Ebbe’s Headington.

We meet together each week for great community, great food, and a chance to know God better in His Word.

There’s lots to get involved with – if you’re a student, sign up here!

At Oxford Brookes?

Whatever your year, your course and wherever you’re at with faith, get in touch with one of the student workers (see below) and say hello, we’d love to hear from you!

Focus

Worship. Community. Mission.

Each week on a Thursday evening – 7pm in the church building on Lime Walk – we gather for a meal and we dive into God’s Word together in small groups! We get stuck into a Bible passage, studying His Word and spending time with one another.

Getaways

Student Winter Getaway

Just before the second Oxford Brookes semester starts, we disappear off to the countryside for five days in January. We spend time together in God’s word, getting stuck in with some seminars, mulling things over in review groups, and enjoying God’s creation in afternoon activities (and in the bountiful provisions of tea and cake)!

Every year it’s a highlight of the church calendar, and every year students come away saying how much they have delighted in getting to know Jesus and others more!

Reading Weeks

We have getaways for guys and gals. What better way to celebrate the end of exams and deadlines by finding some sunshine (hopefully) and a beach with a bunch of friends? We pack in lots: listening to some talks, reading a book together, Bible studies, amusing adventures, and top-notch fun! It’s always a special week.

International Student?

Explore

Fun. Faith. Family.

We are a group of students who want to know what Christianity is all about. Made up of mostly international students who have come to the UK to study, this group is open to everyone: whether you are a Christian, someone who has no religion, or someone who follows another religion.

Each week we meet and eat a meal together, play games, and look at what the Bible says Christianity is all about. It’s a really encouraging time of friendship and fun. You are welcome if you are interested in finding out about Christianity, or if you just want to make some friends whilst in Oxford.
