APPRENTICESHIPS AT ST EBBE’S HEADINGTON

We are looking for people who want to serve, grow, and love God more!

We have spaces for apprentices, starting in August 2020, initially for one year with a possibility of extending for a further year. This role would suit recent graduates who are considering full-time Christian work in the longer term.

In addition to students or youth and children’s work, apprenticeships involve:

  • attending the South Central Ministry Training Course

  • being full members of the staff team

  • entering into all aspects of church family life

  • administrative and practical duties

Appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Applications to be returned by January 31st 2019.

CHILDREN’S WORKER

At an exciting time for us as a church family, we would like to appoint a full-time children’s worker, starting in the summer of 2020.

Our vision is to:
- To see children in church family delighting in Christ and growing in faith
- To bring the light of Christ to children and families in our community who as yet do not know Him.

The successful applicant would be responsible for matters including overseeing our Sunday Club ministry (we currently have 70 children aged under 11), recruiting and training volunteers, overseeing and developing our current outreach programmes and running our summer Holiday Bible Club.

We are happy to be flexible about the exact nature of the role, depending on applicants’ experience, training and age/stage.

Applicants should have proven skills in teaching the Bible to children, have good people and organisational skills, and want to be part of a church with a vision to grow.

Start date: Summer 2020
Length of contract: 3 years
Appointment subject to an enhanced DBS clearance.
It is a Genuine Occupational Requirement that the post-holder signs the St Ebbe’s Statement of Faith.
