Join us on Saturday 5th December for our very own GBBO-style Gingerbread House Event on Zoom! We’ll provide everything you need - a ready-made Gingerbread House kit, icing, piping bags, sweets for decoration and full instructions. We’ll show you how to assemble your house, then it’s over to you to impress each other and the judges…

What will you receive?

For your eight pounds registration fee, you’ll receive a ready-made Gingerbread House kit, a tub of royal icing and icing bags for gluing and decorating, a Zoom link, plus sweets, candy canes and gingerbread people to personalise your house. You can collect your pack from our church building or we can deliver it for free to your home (within Headington!)

What will happen?

Join us in our virtual tent on Zoom for a demonstration of how to assemble your house. Then it’s into breakout rooms with two or three other families to share ideas and compare creations. Our four ‘judges’ will also visit the rooms to give advice and make suggestions. After assembling the houses (and while the icing sets), we’ll come together for some feedback from the judges and a short Christmas story. Then it’s back into breakout rooms for the all-important decorating of the houses (try not to eat too many of the sweets) before a final presentation of all the houses in their full sugary glory!

When will it happen?

4-5.30pm on Saturday 5th December. We’ll send you a Zoom link by email that morning. Please collect your kits between 9 and 11am that morning from St.Ebbe’s Headington, Lime Walk (OX3 7AE). Or let us know via the registration form if you would like your kit delivered.

Who’s invited?

Anyone in Headington who wants to be involved

How much does it cost?

Eight pounds for each gingerbread house kit. If you are a larger family and would like a second house, just ask. If money is tight at the moment, we’d be delighted to give you a kit for free.

Spaces are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment!  Bookings close at 1pm on Friday 4th December.
